Facebook is the best place for connecting with friends, family, and others on the internet. To connect with a friend you can use the "Find Friends" menu, or the search field in the top bar. You can invite your future (currently not present on FB) Facebook friends in the Account -> Edit friends -> Invite Friends menu.

Facebook Friend lists are a useful tool to organize your friends on FB and create custom privacy settings for them, and to filter the stories in News Feed. You can create and edit friend lists also on the Friends page, and it is possible to add or remove friends later from these lists.
You can always block a Friend who is posting a content you don’t like, and you can also give him/her a feedback by writing a message to your friend to ask to remove the post.
At the end, you can help your Facebook Friends to find their friends, too. You can easily suggest them peoples, who are on your list. You will get a notice by email every time two friends of you also found each other by your suggestion. The more friends you have on Facebook, the more richer news you will get on the site.
